Meet the Hatter
Howdy, I'm Bo Buck
A lifetime in the western way — now shaped into felt.
My love of the West started at sixteen, working as a cowboy at a dude ranch just outside Jackson Hole, Wyoming. From there I honed my hands in cabinet making and wood carving — a career I finished by building a museum-grade replica of an 1870s western town in the mountains of Colorado.
I still have and wear my custom shotgun chaps and cowboy hat from those days. Today I live on the Western Slope of Colorado with my wife, Cindy — married 40 years — a couple of happy empty-nesters.
Hat shaping has become my passion: a way to keep working with my hands, stay creative, and honor the early days of the American West. Every hat that comes across my bench gets that same care.
